The Chancer is Liam Montier's KILLER new mentalism routine!

Building on ideas of Eddie Joseph and Ted Lesley, Liam's new work on the 'Premonition' plot blasts it into SPACE!

Two spectators THINK of playing cards, and do not say them aloud.... that bit is important.  From a deck of cards that has been in FULL VIEW from the start, you open the pack and begin to deal the cards face up, asking either spectator to stop you when they see the card that is in their mind... remember they have never told you what it is!

ASTONISHINGLY - BOTH OF THEIR CARDS ARE MISSING!  You slowly, cleanly and totally fairly count 50 face up cards... 2 cards are missing from the pack, and they are the thought of cards!

You ask the spectators who was thinking of which card, and they name their selections.

Then, from a second deck (that has a contrasting back design) that has been in full view, and guarded by a spectator, you open it up and remove two odd backed cards... the NAMED SELECTIONS!

There are lots of routines with 'thought-of' cards... but not many where the magic happens BEFORE THEY ARE NAMED!
